From small long-boarding waves, to fast and barrelling A-frames, surfing at our local breaks is sure to offer both intermediate and expert surfers some of the best waves in Central America.
Our Surf and Stay package is curated to your liking. You’ll experience all that Verdad Nicaragua and our community has to offer, while sharing the waves with just a few of our friends.
SURF
Here at Verdad, the offshore wind is with us 11 months out of the year - ensuring a consistent surfable wave any day of the week. Rise early and walk down to our semi-private beach, Playa Escameca, where the break on the north side is a sweet right, semi-point break with a
sandy bottom.
You can also paddle or walk one cove over to Playa Yankee, where you’ll find a strong left wedge with a sandy bottom.
Spend the afternoon at Playa Hermosa or Playa Remanso, both uncrowded breaks a short drive from Verdad, with beach bars and restaurants where you can enjoy tapas and happy hour drinks after your day in the waves.
STAY
Immersed in nature, find comfort and laid-back luxury in our private casitas. Seek adventure in catamaran trips, horseback riding, and nature trail walks throughout the hillside. Volunteer at the ViveroTurtle Sanctuary. Or, simply siesta by the Verdad pool.
Overlooking the ocean, our open-air fitness studio, massage and yoga offerings are sure to bring you balance between surf sessions - a perfect compliment to surfing and a way to connect with yourself and feel your best.
NOURISH
Our food philosophy at Verdad Nicaragua is centered around fueling your body properly for the week, using fresh and local ingredients, much of it grown right here in our garden. Our chefs create delicious and nutritious meals that cater to every kind of dietary need. We enjoy all of our meals family-style either in the open-air dining area or poolside.
