We are blessed with a consistent off-shore wind that creates clean waves almost all year round, so you can count on being stoked to surf here. We’ve got board rentals (longboard, shortboard, soft tops and boogie boards) and we offer private and group lessons with our certified professional coaches at Sandbar Surf School Our coaches are experienced pros at motivating absolute beginners to pop-up on their first wave and inspiring advanced surfers to improve specific techniques. Our instructors are both competitors and surf competition judges
We are the only functional fitness studio in the San Juan del Sur area. Our gorgeous open-air space is outfitted with 800 pounds of kettlebells, TRX, jump ropes, med balls, Bosu, and boxing gloves/pads. Professional, individualized fitness classes can be arranged during your stay, or you can use the equipment and studio on your own.
Guests have exclusive use of our serene, open-air yoga studio with breathtaking views out to the ocean and surrounding valley, where you can practice either on your own or with a certified teacher. Take in the sound of waves crashing on the shore, and enjoy the tropical breeze blowing through the studio as you nourish your mind and body. We have Manduka mats, belts, blocks, and bolsters.

ON LAND
Treat yourself to a MASSAGE offered in our ocean view studio, where the sweet sounds of the waves breaking on shore will lull you into deep relaxation.
Go on a guided ATV tour to remote villages with and hike in untouched nature to pristine waterfalls. Enjoy a lunch at a family farm and experience local living.
Take a guided tour on HORSEBACK with our new partners at BIG SKY RIDES. Where you go is up to you -- either through the jungle to a secluded beach or deep into surrounding tropical forest where your likely to meet up with all sorts of wildlife (monkeys, toucans, parrots, sloths and more)
There are two Canopy Tour companies operating ZIP-LINE CANOPY TOURS in our area, if flying through the jungle is something you’d like to do.
Stargazing at Playa Escameca with a crackling BEACH BONFIRE and after dinner drinks or a late night swim for groups of four or more.

AT SEA
Experience our spectacular coast from the sea on a 5 hour CATAMARAN SAIL, including snacks, ceviche and a bottomless bar ! Snorkel and fish along the way as you find secluded coves and beaches.
Take a panga FISHING TOUR with a native fisherman. Nicaraguan waters provide a bounty of sustenance, and we’ll even prepare your catch for your dinner. 2-6 people maximum
BOATING ACTIVITIES such as skurfing, snorkeling, wake boarding, or just enjoying a boat ride with some cold beverages and fresh ceviche.
